Hi guys, I want to let you known that AirTags are not GPS devices, and they do not have any kind of GPS technology, which the video advertises as" BEST GPS TRACKERS”. Rather than using GPS technology, Apple decided that it will be a better idea to use other kind of technology, such as Ultra Wideband, and Bluetooth. AirTags, use this communication technology in order to connect to your iPhone. Also, by connecting to strangers iPhones, they connect to other iPhones (AirTags) in order to send information about where the AirTag is located. So, the next time you open your Find My App, you can know where your AirTag is and connect to it so you can find it. Strangers iPhones connect to the unknown AirTag, so their iPhones can upload the location of your AirTag in Find My App (You can't get info of other iPhones with AirTags, neither other people will be able to see your info because of your AirTag, these Find My Network is safe and does not share information about other users, it only shares the location of your lost device). AirTags work so good because in America, most of the people have an iPhone, so if I leave an AirTag in an airport, mall, gas station, or other place, i will find it because there are other Apple devices that are near, and they send the location of your AirTag to the Find My Network. The whole point of an AirTag is because to find my network. If I leave an AirTag in the middle of the nowhere, where there are no Apple devices near, the Find My App will be not able to update my AirTag location because there are no near devices that can connect to the AirTag and send the location of it. So if you are planing to put an AirTag in your car, rather than the GPS device, let me tell you that is a terrible idea. First, because if someone steals your car, and drive it to the middle of nowhere, or to a remote place, your AirTag will be not able to send its location, unless the thief have an iPhone, which is very probable. Second, as you may have known, AirTags connect to a stranger's iPhone in order to send information to the Find My App, so you can find your AirTag. The problem is, that if the thieves' iPhone detects that there is a AirTag that does not is of there own, the iPhone will display a notification saying that there is a AirTag that is tracking them, the thief's iPhone will be able to show where is the Air Tag, and also it will be showing how to turn the AirTag off, and you will be not able to find your car and AirTag. So, rather buy an GPS system that can provide accurate information about the location of your car, even if is at the middle of nowhere, and it will not be alerting the thieves that there is a GPS device.
